Summer 2010
With so many encouraging changes occurring, it´s time once again to update our patients with news from the team here at Parchment Street Dental Practice.
After over 30 years in dentistry, it is with great sadness that Dr´s Mike and Sarah Wallis have withdrawn from practice at Parchment Street. Many of you will be aware that Sarah has been suffering increasingly with joint problems and it is for these reasons that they have left us to embark on new and fresh challenges.
On an extremely positive note we are delighted to introduce a very highly qualified team of dentists who will be taking over your dental care.
Dr Richard Lewis qualified at Kings College London in 1985. He has spent the last 15 years in private Practice in Wantage and enjoys all aspects of dentistry. Many of his existing patients have already expressed a wish to follow him to Parchment Street as he is enormously popular and has a relaxed, gentle style which is popular with all age groups. He likes to keep up to date with the latest advances in dentistry and is also qualified in Invisalign which is a modern technique for straightening teeth with clear braces. Richard is a family man with six children and he also finds time to keep fit, pursuing a wide range of extra dental activities. He is delighted to be coming to Winchester and is really looking forward to meeting you.
Dr Nicola McCormick qualified at Queens University in Belfast. She is very experienced in the fields of Oral Surgery and Restorative Dentistry and has a special interest in Cosmetic Dentistry and Orthodontics. Nicola also has a young family and her hobbies include tennis (representing Ireland at British, European and World Student Games Championships), cookery and walking.
We are very pleased that Dr Marina Humphrey and all the team that you know so well will be continuing at the Practice. We naturally wish that the transfer of your dental care to the new team will take place seamlessly. Those of you registered with Denplan need take no action and we will arrange for your Denplan membership to be transferred to Brenda Macmillan on 1st September 2010. Your present arrangements for payment will stand and Denplan will simply alter its records to show the change of dentist. Your entitlement to treatment will continue as normal throughout this period of change.
Mike and Sarah have asked us to thank you for making their years at Parchment Street so enjoyable. It was a pleasure treating you over the years and they hope that they will stay in touch with many of you. If you have any further queries, please do not hesitate to contact the practice.
For patients wanting to spread the costs of dental treatment, Denplan offer a monthly budget package, this gives a comprehensive dentist and hygienist plan. Also working with Denplan we offer an affordable dental package for children; this covers all their basic treatment. Please ask us for details for both the above packages.
We are still taking on new patients and always welcome your recommendations to friends and family. We always appreciate any feedback you may have for us and we would value any suggestion for ways we may improve the service we offer. Thank you for all your loyalty and support.
Dr Richard Lewis, Dr Nicola McCormick, Dr Marina Humphrey, and all the practice team.
